Kiesanowski and Kerdemelidis wedding trip
Today I learned about sixel, aka DECgraphics. https://saitoha.github.io/libsixel/ You can literally display graphics and image data inside an xterm. Example https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saitoha/libsixel/data/data/ite.png Process: 1. install libsixel-bin package, which is in most major linux distributions 2. run xterm -ti vt340 & # Start an xterm with an additional parameter 3. run img2sixel filename.jpg # which is packaged in libsixel-bin Note its a bit particular about the source image. Screenshots work well, as to smaller gifs, png, jpg. Photographs not so much. The example images in this directory work nicely. More info on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixel![]()
