These two clamps have been broken for over 20 years. I lost one of the small load-spreading feet almost immediately, and the other one has been fall-off loose since then. Two new feet, turned from 25mm aluminium bar stock. Retainer is a 1/4" grub screw cut from a bolt, and a screwdriver slot added then secured with loctite. My threading techniques are awful and I need to work on that part.
