Kiesanowski and Kerdemelidis wedding trip
Winder riding updates from late May 2019. There are three front lightsRavemen PR1200 some chinese motor scooter sidelight running off 12V battery in bag a small CR123A powered needle beam on my helmet The rear has Two cheap 2-led blinkes that run of 2x AAA A 2 metre long strip of Electroluminescent wire running off the 12V battery An Ultrafire red LED on the right chainstay, powered by an 18650. There's DOT tape almost everywhere - two long strips down the side of the seat, around the pedals, and on the stays for the rack. Wheel spokes are adorned with some cheap spoke reflectors, make from the same stuff as the DOT tape - its super-reflective, cheap, and uses no batteries. The pedals are MKS Lambda Wide pedals for commuters, mostly cos clips/cleats still scare me on this bike. The feet are a very long way from the ground and I do not want to repeat my initial falls. Not cheap but far superior. Lastly, the chain idlers were bought new from Terracycle in the US. Some finangling was needed, the upper idler mount is carved from some aluminiun U-hannel, and the lower power toothed idler fitted the existing M5 mount with some judicious filing of the rim. Upshot is its got quieter, with a slightly more relaxed gear line. ![]()
