Some photos of the bike with the new Alfine 11 internally geared hub. Its a bit of a pig on the uphills, so even with 32 tooth chainring and in the lowest gear I can only go 5 km/h up a 10%, and not for long. Balance becomes the biggest issue, and my track becomes quite wide to cope with the wobbles. Can't use the 22 tooth grannie at the moment - currently there's too much chain on the bike for the tensioner to take up. Will tweak this once the power idler and perhaps the return idler are fitted. Yes the power and return lines do a twist around each other at the moment. That was not on purpose, and will be fixed soon. DO NOTE the bike has rear suspension, and when I'm on it there's enough sag to reduce the angle visible in the return chainline.
