The hole in the wall where the fireplace was removed measures 682 mm wide by 593 mm high. The depth I can't measure because its all bricked up now.
The outside of the firebox itself is 492 mm wide by 551 mm high. The inside of the firebox is a cylinder 405 mm in diameter and 455 mm deep.
The door is 390 mm wide by 290 mm high.
Frontage is a separate thing - you screw it on after installing the firebox. The front is 836 mm wide by 647 mm high, and is 65 mm deep.
This fireplace insert was removed earlier this year (2004) under the CRC's clean air scheme. It is not certified as a low emission burner, and therefore cannot be used in Christchurch.
However this insert fireplace would make a great upgrade for a bach or crib with an open fireplace. Gear includes the firebox, 4.2 metres of 5 inch flue, and a roof cowling. The age of the unit is totally unknown to me, but looks to be about ten years old.
