The amp dates from approximately the late 1970s to the early 1980s. It is a Sony XO-7 receiver and has an AM/FM tuner and tape deck in the unit. I used this unit in my garage for two years and it functions perfectly apart from requiring an FM aerial to make up for the tin-shed. It is not a small unit, measuring 105 mm high, 435 mm wide, and 360 mm deep. It weighs approximately 10-15 kilograms
On top are vents and a small sticker proudly saying "Made In Japan"
On the front panel is volume and tuner memories (6 of them) as well as all the tape controls and three input selector.
Front of unitUnder the flap are dials and other controls. Microphone Socket, Dolby Noise Reduction, Tuning, Bass, Treble, Balance, Loudness and Aux Phono/Normal switch.
Front of unit with flap down On the rear there are stereo inputs for a turntable and an
auxilliary for a computer or whatever. Also there are a pair
of outputs which can go to a line-in on your sound card. There
are two sets of L/R speaker outputs (ie, four speakers.) I will
provide a rabbit-ears aerial for the FM connector, to improve FM
radio reception (which was needed in my steel garage.) There is
also a compartment for two AA batteries to power the memory of the
unit, and a coil aerial.
